Dunya Camp, A Luxury Glamping experience under 2-hours from Atlanta, Georgia

You don’t have to leave the United States to experience an exotic getaway; Dunya Camp in Summerville, GA offers a glamping experience like no other. About a month ago, I got to experience it firsthand and it truly is as magical as the photos you see on the website. This wasn’t my first glamping (glamorous camping) experience but one which truly left me in awe. I don’t know about you but sometimes, I just want to experience a luxurious getaway without having to hop on a flight spend hours traveling, or even navigate busy airports. A 175-mile drive from downtown Atlanta takes you to this tucked-in oasis perfect if you love to spend time outdoors without missing out on everyday luxuries like hot water and then some like your own hot tub, sauna, sinking tub, and more. Amenities

My hubby and I stayed in the Sunset Grand Tent the main difference btw this and the Sunset Tent is the Sauna. You can read the full list of the amenities offered HERE but I’ll just go ahead and say this, EVERYTHING you would require for a glamping trip and more is included. Luxury Robes, Heating and AC units, fireplace, kitchen, gas grill, and stove.

Safety

I felt safe the entire time we were there. As a Black traveler, I often get this question, Dunya Camp is for us too guys. It was quiet at night and no strange creatures or big animals were spotted, our entire time there. Mosquitoes were surprisingly not an issue and the bees I saw around during the day disappeared by evening.

I didn’t get bitten by anything which is strange cos spending time outdoors for longer than 20mins in GA, especially during warmer months without applying bug spray never ends well for me. We didn’t venture outside of the gated property of Dunya Camp so I don’t know how friendly the locals are or anything.

Food and Drinks

We brought our own food and drinks as Dunya Camp doesn’t offer this. They however have a refrigerator, sink, dishwasher, and coffee maker for you to make your stay enjoyable. We brought pre-packed meals, made breakfast, and even grilled on one of the nights. They, however, can make your luxury camping experience extra special with the experiences they offer for an additional cost, S’mores Magic, Ritual Bath (for a relaxing bath), and Blissful Celebration (perfect for proposals and/or birthdays.) are some of the offers.

Things to do & everything else you need to know

Each tent is designed for 2 adults and one kid max. It’s a King sized bed. Kids have to be 12 or older to visit Dunya Camp. The owners are readily available on the property to assist you, so you’re never without customer service. WIFI is available, and T-mobile worked without any issue (a bit spotty every now and then) so you know other networks will work. At night, solar panel lanterns come on so you can spend time outdoors safely.  A 15-minute drive will take you to downtown Summerville if you forget your essentials or go to dinner.

We spent our weekend in our luxury glamping on the property, we walked around the property (they currently don’t have trails) however the camp is on a 40-acre land.
