Thankful for another year around the sun, I know it’s been a while since I posted but that changes in 2024. Starting the year with a post sharing highlights from my birthday. For the celebration, in my true fashion, I was away for my birthday. A tradition I started when I turned 30. Doing something I loved the most, travel versus throwing a party or hosting a birthday dinner.

I spent the day in St Barthelemy since I was already in St. Martin. A 1-hour ferry ride will get you from Marigot, St Martin to Gustavia, St. Barth. It cost me under $100. We took the first ferry that arrived at 8:20 am and the last ferry back to St Martin at 5:30. (Trust me it’s plenty of time to explore the Island of St. Barth.)

This was my second time here so I knew how to effectively manage my day. The great thing about Gustavia is most of the amazing shopping is right by the ferry. Getting around is easy, you can rent a car or Moke (did this on a previous trip) for a day or take one of the taxis (they’re expensive and charge a flat rate.)

I started the day with breakfast at Arawak, a nice cafe with great food, and then did a bit of retail therapy. Luxury shopping at St Barthelemy is amazing, it is on average over 20% cheaper than shopping in the United States and the best part is items are tax-free, so you don’t have to bother with custom forms or waiting to get a tax refund.

I spent the afternoon at Nikki Beach, and I had an amazing time. It’s the perfect place for a day party, the vibes was everything! There was a DJ, the food was amazing, and the turquoise beach was steps away. You will need a reservation (it can be done by calling the morning of your visit.) I shared a video recap of my day HERE on TikTok.
