I recently had the pleasure of visiting the Cayman Islands, courtesy of the Cayman Island Tourism Board. My trip aimed to showcase the vibrant events happening on the islands, particularly the Capella 2024 Music Festival, which took place on Saturday, April 27th. The festival boasted an impressive lineup, including reggae sensation Damian Marley, Kez the Band, Arya Starr, Becky Hill, and more. The music event, one of the largest on the island, was a vibrant mix of local food, drinks, shopping, and incredible entertainment.
Luxurious Stay at Kimpton Seafire Resort
For my accommodation, I stayed at the luxurious Kimpton Seafire Resort + Spa, a stunning five-star property on Grand Cayman. The resort, with its elegant rooms, breathtaking ocean views, and top-notch amenities, was a perfect base for my island adventure.
Day 1: Relaxation and Fine Dining
My first day began with a delightful lunch at Coccoloba Bar & Grill, one of the restaurants at Kimpton Seafire Resort. The beachfront setting and delicious Mexican-Caribbean cuisine set the perfect tone for the weekend. Later, I was transferred by Majestic Tours (an amazing transportation service on the Island) to Safe Haven Dock where I got on the Red Sail Catamaran to the famous Rum Point Club Restaurant for a fantastic dinner. The sunset views and exquisite seafood made for an unforgettable evening.
Day 2: Exploring Camana Bay and Capella Music Festival
On the second day, I explored Camana Bay, a vibrant town center with an array of shops, restaurants, and entertainment options. I had lunch at Union Grill, a fantastic spot known for its fresh, flavorful dishes (still dreaming of the Ceviche I had here) and some of the best cocktails. It was the perfect way to start an evening of fun and entertainment. The highlight of my trip was the Capella Music Festival at Camana Bay. The festival was an incredible experience, featuring world-class artists, energetic performances, and a lively atmosphere. I danced all night to everything from reggae, soc music reggae to pop music!
Day 3: Brunch, Spa, and Gourmet Dinner
The final day started with a Capella Brunch at Agua, a chic waterfront restaurant. The brunch was phenomenal, with a variety of delicious options. After brunch, I was treated to a relaxing spa treatment at the Ritz Carlton. The luxurious setting and rejuvenating treatment left me feeling refreshed. I ended my day with a gourmet dinner at Grand Old House, a historic waterfront restaurant known for its exquisite tapas-style cuisine and romantic setting.

My trip to the Cayman Islands was truly unforgettable. The combination of luxury, entertainment, and natural beauty made for an amazing experience.
