When it comes to travel, while I enjoy exploring new places, I would be lying if I said where I stayed didn’t matter. A few weeks ago, I got to explore the beautiful Island of St. Lucia thanks to Sugar Beach Viceroy resort, the luxury resort there. St. Lucia should be on your travel bucket list, this beautiful Island is the most picturesque Caribbean island I have ever been to with beautiful piton views at various turns, pristine beaches, delicious local food, volcanoes (I took my first sulfur bath here), and welcoming locals; there is so much to experience whether you are going solo, with bae, family or with your friends.

Service

From the moment we landed at the airport, a viceroy rep was there to welcome us (me and hubby) and direct us into our cab to take us to the resort. On arriving on the property, we were dropped off at our luxury villa where a butler was waiting to welcome us. To say I was beyond impressed was an understatement. We didn’t have to go to the front desk or wait in line, instead, our butler (complimentary with all the accommodations except the luxury guestrooms) handled our check-in process. Gave us a phone to reach her and gave us a tour of the villa and proceeded to make dinner reservations for us. This was the first luxury resort I have stayed at where a phone was provided to reach a butler at any time! From organizing reservations on the property to activities around St. Lucia, our butler handled everything.

 Accommodation

I was beyond blown away when we arrived at our luxury villa, one of the many accommodations available at Sugar Beach resort. Our villa was for up to 4 people and had the most beautiful view of Pitons on both sides, a plunge pool, outdoor seating area, a huge living room, king-size bed, indoor & outdoor showers, a standing tub, and more! I literally didn’t want to leave our villa on some days, so if you are looking for a resort where you can unwind and still have a great time, book this resort. Accommodations include the LUXURY GUESTROOMS, LUXURY VILLAS, LUXURY BEACHFRONT BUNGALOWS, THE RESIDENCES, BEACHFRONT COLLECTION & SUGAR BEACH RESIDENCES.

 Amenities/Activities

There is so much to do on the property including the rainforest spa which gives every guest access to the sauna. I got a coconut milk massage and loved it! There is a kids club if you’re there with your little ones. There is a complimentary van that takes you around the resort which is just a phone call away. The newly renovated Cabanas is the perfect spot to spend the day by the pool. A kids and adult beach and pools areas too!

Food

Sugar Beach provides a complimentary continental breakfast which also included a buffet and a full breakfast menu. (There was something new to eat every day.) I loved that there were 7 restaurants on the property to choose from. They even had specials on different nights (there was a BBQ on one of the nights along with a live band.) Complimentary fresh coconuts at the beach were also available. Did I mention how delicious the food was! One of the best BBQs I have ever had and I have had quite a lot. You have the option to also get a food package with your accommodation.

Activities

There is no way you can get bored at Sugar Beach with the vast variety of activities that can be experienced without leaving the property. From exercise classes including private yoga classes to water sports like kayaking, speed boat rental, hiking, a boat or yacht rental you can have the best vacation right at Sugar Beach! Sunset Dinner Cruises or a day cruise is also available. I now know why this resort is a popular honeymoon resort. The kids club had tons of activities to keep your little ones engaged too.
