Fall 2017 Must-Haves : Velvet

Happy first day of Fall! Even though it is 73 degrees here in Atlanta lol. I am starting off my Fall Fashion Must-Haves series with one of Fall’s staple Velvet. Velvets have always been in for the cooler part of the year so not surprised it was big on runways for Fall 2017. I wore this High neck velvet dress for a fashion show last Saturday and got a lot of compliments on it. I purchased it from Asos, my favorite online shopping website.

I love that this velvet dress also showcases another huge trend this season, the high neck. I decided to wear to style the dress with a pair of yellow leather pumps I recently purchased from Topshop on sale for $60. I love that it is perfect pop to my black outfit.

The embellished high neck is beyond beautiful, you need to see it in person. My dress is available up to a US size 14 for $83. The shape of this dress makes it perfect for different body types (whether you have lots of curves or working with little.) 

Sizing

I am wearing the dress in a US 6, my usual size. I always size up for my dresses when I shop on Asos

I love the open back of this dress. I purchased a lace bandeau a perfect option for open back dresses. You can purchase yours via Asos. 

Style Tip

You can wear a pair of black opaque tights with this dress depending on the weather. Also since the dress has a lot going on, simple earrings works best.

                         I also chose a simple black clutch to keep focus on my dress and shoes.
