As an African, this fabric reminds me of home š I find myself mixing it up with other fabrics very often in the warmer months as part of my daily outfit choice or sometimes I incorporate it with my winter fashion. A few years ago, wearing Ankara here in the United States would bring stares because people weren’t familiar with this fabric but fast-forward to now, its a different experience. People know more about it and it has been embraced by the fashion industry.
