My baby turned one

Hello, today I am sharing a few pictures from my daughter’s first birthday party. I always wanted a summer baby and one of the reasons is simply to a throw an outdoor party, LOL. I was blessed with one last July, needless to say, I have been planning this party in my head for a while. I went with  “shabby chic” and “bling” for the theme. I did the planning myself and did a lot of DIY projects too. I will be sharing some of that on different posts. I couldn’t have done it without Etsy, shout out to this wonderful platform for small businesses! 

It rained that morning (just my luck, lol) , so it changed my plans a bit, but everything turned out great in the end. My hubby was on the grill, whipping out yummy food for our guests and he took all the pictures too, YES he is a Super Dad 🙂 The kids had a great time with the trackless train and the drink station was a hit with the adults. I decided to go with a simple dessert table and loved how it turned out. The cake I baked for the event  was a 4-layer chocolate and vanilla cake with butter cream frosting. There is nothing I enjoy more than planning and executing parties for my loved ones. She was a great spot and wasn’t fussy or cried at her birthday party. I hope she looks back at these pictures one day when she much older and appreciate them:)
