Quick back story, I recently returned from a trip to Paris & Marrakech so, between the different weather conditions, my hair wasn’t exactly in the best state (it was slightly damaged with noticeable split ends). Add that to sleeking down my natural curls which takes a lot of work /products and I was ready to provide my hair with a little TLC. I absolutely loved how my hair turned out for my flapper girl costume but afterward, I had to give my hair a reset with these Intense Rescue Shots!
What I love about Pantene’s Intense Rescue Shots is that it replaces my conditioner. It was an easy 2-step process to repair my damaged ends. I started with washing my hair using Pantene Gold Series Moisture Boost Shampoo, towel-dried my hair then followed by the application of the shots. The recommended use is one ampoule in exchange for your usual conditioner. However, I have super thick hair, so I needed more than one Rescue Shot. You want to apply it to your hair from root to tip and focus on your problem areas (for me it was the mid to ends of my hair).
I worked the product into my coils using my fingers for 30 seconds and then rinsed it out for 30 seconds. When you try it for yourself, be sure to not over-rinse! What I saw after I rinsed out my hair surprised me. My hair was bouncy and clean, and it looked and felt healthier! It looked so good, that the final shots I am sharing are of my hair without any other products in it.
This is how good my hair looked after I rinsed out the Pantene Intense Rescue Shots. I was also super impressed that I didn’t have any detangling issues, which saved me 30-45 minutes (since the detangling process takes that long on most of my wash days)! Thanks to these Intense Rescue Shots, Pantene totally eliminated my detangling process which meant a shorter wash day. Celebrating this little victory!
