Asos Special Occasion dress

How are you doing? It’s Easter Monday in some parts of the world today but it’s business as usual here in the United States. I am excited about today’s post because it features a collaboration with my favorite place to shop on the web, Asos! If you didn’t know Asos carries a huge selection of Occassion wear outfits ranging from dresses, to jumpsuit, skirts, suits and don’t get me started on their amazing shoe selection and accessories. You might already know this but haven’t tried shopping with them because you might be confused about sizing or it might seem too overwhelming because they carry lot of brands. I am sharing how I do this without any issues.

Tips for Shopping on Asos.com

–I shop according to my size and when I mean my size, it includes sizing up too. To narrow down my search and save time and effort I have found this always works. I go up one size because some contemporary brands run small. I am a true 4 but I find in some brands size 6 work better for me. Like today’s floral dress.

–Stick to exactly what you are looking for. If you are looking for a summer dress or say a floral dress, only look for summer dresses, using the search word “dress” is too broad of a term. I also always shop “new arrivals” or go straight to “sales.”

–When in doubt order two sizes. I have done this in the past and it removes that feeling on uncertainty. There is nothing worse than waiting for a package to arrive only to find out that it doesn’t fit! Asos offers free returns so you won’t pay extra for this service.

-If you are like me and shop there often opt for the $19/year free 2 day shipping. It saves you a lot of money and you get your item fast too!

–Pay close attention to fabrics. Depending on what type of fabric, you can get away with your usual size or might have to size up.

-If you are in between sizes, always go up a size.

Important Sizing Information

I am wearing this floral organza dress in a size 6. I have found no issues with length when shopping in the petite section. For reference I am 5″6. I often would wear an outfit in a tall too but I always go down one size.

I had the option to pick an item for occasion wear and I picked this organza floral dress because it is perfect for Spring and Summer.

I decided on nude pumps for this look, neutral and light colors work best with a multicolored dress like mine. I am wearing Christian Louboutin pigalle’s my new favorite neutral pumps. Neutral sandals would also work too for this look.
