Shameless plug for my business because apparently Shameless plug for my business because apparently I need to get better at actually telling y’all what I do. 😂❤️

This feels a little vulnerable to post, but here we are anyway. 🙏🏾

Yes, I travel a lot. Yes, I share a LOT of travel tips. But I also actually help people plan and book their trips through my travel company, Tíwàlàjò.

So whether you already know where you want to go in 2027 and need help pulling it all together, OR you just know you want to go somewhere but have absolutely no idea where 😂, I can help with that too.

Hotels, itineraries, experiences, recommendations and all those little details that can turn trip planning into a second job…I do this.

So consider this my very shameless, slightly uncomfortable plug to say: if you’re thinking about traveling in 2027, come talk to me. ✈️❤️

And yes, I’m posting this even though a tiny part of me wants to delete it.

We chose Iceland for our family summer trip because we wanted something different, and different is exactly what we got. The kind of trip that reminded us just how beautiful this planet is and had us wanting to stay outside, explore longer and see what was around the next corner.

And listen, Iceland gets a reputation for being expensive, but once I mentally switched from “Europe” to “island,” it made a lot more sense to me. 😂

Would I go back? Absolutely.

My hair tips-Part 2

Happy Friday! Hope your week has been great? I hope you found PART 1 very useful? I have added more nuggets to this list. Next up will be kids hair care and then tips from my stylist.

#12 Know about your Hair Products

The type of hair products you use on your hair is so important. For years I didn’t read labels or educated myself on what I put in my hair, that has changed drastically over the years. Don’t let anyone fool you into buying this product or that, just because it smells great or its what’s “in.” Do your research and most importantly READ the labels. Just like with food, do the same with your hair products. Google makes it easy, so why not educate yourself and ask your stylist about the products she uses?

The debate about Sulfur in Shampoo

Personally I use sulfur-free shampoo (but I know sulfur isn’t the enemy, its derivative matters, natural versus synthetic)  Yes shampoo with sulfur strips away our natural hair oils and can cause hair dryness and irritation but remember your sulfur free shampoo will do the same but at a milder rate. Shampoos do that period.  I personally love Shea Moisture brand of products (they have a broad range for different hair textures). I have had great success with this brand with my hair and with my daughter’s hair too. Jane Carter is another amazing brand I love.

FUN FACT: MSM (organic sulphur) promotes growth in tissues that use Keratine as a base, such as hair. I haven’t tried it personally but people are raving about i (Hairfinity is an example.)

Conditioners

This is also very crucial. Invest in good conditioners that replenish your hair with the goodness that it needs. I personally leave my conditioner in for about 30 minutes when I condition my hair. Shea moisture’s restorative conditioner is by far my favorite product by the brand, it is amazing!! A friend turned me on to it and I have been hooked since. It has been great for my transitioning hair. It does cause some shrinkage though, but I have found ways around that with my after wash routine. Mixed chicks is another great conditioner.

Don’t waste money buying Shea moisture products at full price, some retailer or drugstore always has it on some special

Leave-In conditioners

I swear by Kinky Curly Knot Today leave-in conditioner. It is simply phenomenal!! It tames frizz, detangles and leaves hair soft and manageable. It is pretty pricey, but the good news is that a little goes a long way. I always dilute mine, 2 parts water, 1 part product., lasts me months!

#13 Try no Heat styles

It is good to give your hair a break from heat which includes curlers and dryers once in a while. Personally, I put in braids and wear natural hair styles like in this photo. Weaves with closures do the exact same thing.

#14 The climate factor

Depending on the time of the year, cold versus hot, your hair will act differently. Even in Nigeria, raining versus dry season. Your hair is dryer with the colder or cooler weather so this is when deep conditioning and oil treatments are very essential. This is when the advice of a good stylist plays a major role too:)

Your hair health says a lot about your overall health, don’t neglect it. There is a reason it is in that not so great state, invest time and effort in it and you will be amazed by the results. Please leave me a comment if you have any questions or suggestions.

EVERY PRODUCT ENDORSED BY THIS POST BASED ON MY OPINION, I AM NOT GETTING PAID TO PROMOTE ANY OF THESE  PRODUCTS.

I just subscribed to your blog and I must say you're the awesomest. You have a beautiful family too by the way (I've been stalking on Instagram )… So I just made up my mind to start transitioning. Haven't relaxed my hair since January. Been so tempted to relax it, but I really want to go natural too. So I wanted to ask, is your hair all natural now or you're still transitioning? Also, I'd like tips on how to grow my hair this transitioning period. Thank you :*

Thank you so much for your kind words and I apologise for the slow response. I am glad you have decided to transition to natural hair. My hair is fully natural but my tips are still a bit straight from straightening it often. I am currently working on small videos that I would be sharing soon with hair tips and my routine/ my daughter's routine. For this period, I would recommend protective styles like weaves with closures, braids too and cornrolls so you don't have to worry too much about your hair. Please send me your email address or email me at titispassion@gmail.com and I'll send you a detailed response and I will answer any questions you have. Thanks for subscribing, enjoy the rest of your week.

The BEST time to travel? 🤔 It might just be should The BEST time to travel? 🤔 It might just be shoulder season. ✈️

It’s that sweet spot between peak season and the off season, when you can often find better prices, fewer crowds, and still enjoy great weather.

And honestly, some of my favorite trips have happened during this time.

The exact months will depend on where you’re going, so always do a little research before booking. But if your travel dates are flexible, checking shoulder season is one of the first things I recommend.

You could get the same destination, the same beautiful views, and the same experiences… just with fewer people and potentially for a lot less.

Save this for the next time you’re planning a trip. ✈️

Have you ever traveled during shoulder season?
