This feels a little vulnerable to post, but here we are anyway. 🙏🏾

Yes, I travel a lot. Yes, I share a LOT of travel tips. But I also actually help people plan and book their trips through my travel company, Tíwàlàjò.

So whether you already know where you want to go in 2027 and need help pulling it all together, OR you just know you want to go somewhere but have absolutely no idea where 😂, I can help with that too.

Hotels, itineraries, experiences, recommendations and all those little details that can turn trip planning into a second job…I do this.

So consider this my very shameless, slightly uncomfortable plug to say: if you’re thinking about traveling in 2027, come talk to me. ✈️❤️

And yes, I’m posting this even though a tiny part of me wants to delete it.

Passionate about Painted Pink: Titi’s Passion Yoga Experience

Thank you for stopping by the blog today, I hope your day is going great. Last October, I was invited to Painted Pink Bruncheon, a yearly event put together by Painted Pink to raise funds for their non-profit organization. Painted Pink is a 501c3 non-profit organization whose mission is to make a positive difference in the lives of  Millennial ladies by supporting and providing wellness and breast cancer programs that educate and empower.

I was beyond impressed, so I decided to host a Yoga Experience Event on September 30 to raise funds for this organization. Every dollar paid for admission to the Yoga event along with every dollar contributed by you goes to Painted Pink.

Why Painted Pink you might ask? I chose Painted Pink because they don’t simply talk about their mission but from attending the Bruncheon (See the recap HERE) and seeing first hand the impact they are making in the community and because like the founder of Painted Pink Ann-Marie Appiah, I had my own personal story too.

I was an 18 year old rounding up my first year in college when I discovered a lump in my right breast. I ignored it and honestly prayed it would just go away. This was back before googling was a thing but I knew what it could be. Fast forward to nearly a year after, I was older and wiser 🙂 so I decided to visit my gynecologist. After the visit, she informed me that it was Fibroadenoma (a benign, or noncancerous, breast tumor ) and I had to have it  surgically removed since it had been there for a while. I was just so happy that it wasn’t cancerous.

I scheduled the surgery but didn’t tell anyone because I was scared and only told my sister few days before because I needed someone to take me to surgery. My surgery went well and I recovered and went about life. I have a scar on my right breast now which reminds me of the importance of self care and also how lucky I was that my story ended there.

Fast forward to two years later I noticed another lump in that same breast and unlike before when I waited a year, I scheduled an appointed with my doctor immediately. This time around a Fine Needle Aspiration(FNA) was done instead to test for breast cancer. Thankfully again, test results came back negative for cancer. The lump has since disappeared. I decided to share my story for two reasons; encourage you to prioritize your health and also because I want to make a difference by partnering with Painted Pink.

Here are some of what they use the funds donated for

-Financial Assistance for Local Breast Cancer Patients

-Financial Assistance for the Bruncheon

-Reserved funds for future needs, such as family members and caregivers following loss of Painted  Pink angels.

Since 2014 when this organization started, they have raised over $22,000. This year’s Bruncheon will be on Saturday October 7th.

This post is to all my readers, guys included. Please share the importance of self care and also help make a difference. If you don’t live in Atlanta and can’t be a part of my Yoga Experience, please donate what you can to help me reach my fundraising goal of $1000 and invite your friends who live in the city. Along with an hour of Yoga at one of Atlanta’s Top Yoga Studios, there will be door prizes, goodie bags and a free 20 day pass for every attendee. You can register HERE.Thank you so much for reading, enjoy the rest of your day.

Thank you for sharing! My mum has had a similar scare too, and had to take the benign lump out the first time via surgery and the second time just a liquid extraction. I know how scary those periods were but thankful they were not life threatening. Great Cause and all the best with the fund raise

The BEST time to travel? 🤔 It might just be should The BEST time to travel? 🤔 It might just be shoulder season. ✈️

It’s that sweet spot between peak season and the off season, when you can often find better prices, fewer crowds, and still enjoy great weather.

And honestly, some of my favorite trips have happened during this time.

The exact months will depend on where you’re going, so always do a little research before booking. But if your travel dates are flexible, checking shoulder season is one of the first things I recommend.

You could get the same destination, the same beautiful views, and the same experiences… just with fewer people and potentially for a lot less.

Save this for the next time you’re planning a trip. ✈️

Have you ever traveled during shoulder season?
